Ashley Campbell PT, DPT, CSCS
Originally from Northeast Ohio, Ashley graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University in Athens, OH and moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University’s School of Physical Therapy. After graduating with her Doctorate from Belmont she began working for STAR Physical Therapy and in 2013 accepted a position as the clinic director for STAR at A-Game Sportsplex. Ashley’s passion has always been in sports medicine and more specifically in the prevention of injury. Since graduating she has spent her career rehabilitating athletes at all levels from youth to professional as well as the general population and feels that many of the sports related, often season ending injuries could be prevented with proper screenings and interventions. Ashley knew based on her experience, education, and the current research and technology available that as a profession we could do better and with the help and mentorship of Dr. Mike Voight Performance One was born.
Ashley began her commitment to the field of Sports Physical Therapy while in school as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Sports Physical Therapy section. She also serves as the manuscript coordinator for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association.
In addition to working in the clinic Ashley has also taught hundreds of other clinicians the Selective Functional Movement Assessment in her role as an instructor with North American Sports Medicine Institute/Advances in Clinical Education. She also holds an adjunct faculty position in Orthopedics at Belmont University’s School of Physical Therapy.
